Whisper Rock is a private 800-acre, guard-gated community of 197 custom homes placed elegantly into the picturesque desert of north Scottsdale. The Golf Club at Whisper Rock has a membership limited to 290 members per 18 holes; and at least 20 members earn their living playing golf. The first 18-hole golf course, designed by PGA Tour player Phil Mickelson and architect Gary Stephenson, opened in February 2001. It features an exceptional design that emphasizes the “down in the desert” beauty of Whisper Rock’s lush natural washes and rolling desert topography. A second 18-hole golf course, created by celebrated designer Tom Fazio highlights the stunning beauty of Whisper Rock’s numerous rock outcroppings and dramatic “uplands.”
